Yesterday In Dino-history: June 3, 1964

Hey pallies, likes just discovered that yester-Dino-day was the 58th anniversary of our most beloved Dino hostin' the Hollywood Palace with the Rolling Stones makin' their American debut on said small screen programme. Likes you knows pallies it's that fab moment when our ever wise and wonderful and ol' so so funny Dino-man makes his introductory cracks at the Stones sharin' his hipper then hip, groovier then groovy Dino-wisdom.....

"Now.....somethin' for the youngsters. Five singin' boys from England who sold a lot of al-b-ums. Albums. They're called the Rollin' Stones. I'VE BEEN ROLLED WHEN I WAS STONED MYSELF. So, I don't know what they're singin''bout, but there they are at."

It was certainly one of our Dino's, and indeed of all televison history's, most memorable moments. Below is that famous clip of our Dino's intro and the Stone's tune.

ilovedinomartin sez our thanks to the pallies at the blog pad "digtriad.com" for postin' this Dino-historical note (to view said, just clicks on the tag of this Dino-report). Keeps lovin' and growin' in your Dino-knowledge o'pallies of mine! Dino-always, only, and ever, DMP

On June third, 1964, the Rolling Stones made their US TV debut on "Hollywood Palace" hosted by Dean Martin.
